If you know ahead of time that your child will be absent or tardy from school, please let the teacher know directly. Otherwise, please call the safety call-back line (617) 559-6499 by 8:30 am each and every morning your child is not going to attend school or will be late.
Leave a message with the following information, and in this order:
- Date of absence
- Child’s name
- Teacher’s name
- Reason for absence/tardiness
The purpose of this process is to check on the safety of students. If your child does not arrive at school and the school has not heard from you, a parent volunteer will call you at home or work to check on your child’s whereabouts.
The safety callback message machine is on 24 hours a day.
