Your Money Put To Use – Staff Annual Mini-Grants

As in every year, the PTO has dedicated almost 10% of its budget ($4,000) to make some of the staff dream-projects come true… This year, among other things, the PTO has funded a new, colorful area rug for the Music Room, printmaking equipment for the Art Room, Wobble Stools and Backjack Seats for different classrooms, and a variety of Math, Literacy & Science learning tools and teaching materials. All this would’ve not been possible without your continuous support and generosity! If you haven’t already, please consider donating to our ongoing campaign (all the details can be found below).

The Annual Campaign

Thank you for helping us reach almost 75% of our campaign goal!! We are still hoping for 100% participation, so if you haven’t already, please consider making your donation today, joining the 1 corporation and 52 Williams families who donated so far!

The PTO provides our school with enrichment programs for our kids, classroom learning tools, and community programs. You can learn more about the Campaign and other impressive programs the PTO funds in the ANNUAL CAMPAIGN LETTER. Thank you to all the parents who joined Ms. Farag, Mr. Bang, Mr. Garlick, Mr. Joyce & Mrs. Sabin for last week’s evening coffee, to discuss Courageous Conversations about Race: Understanding our staff focus and implications for parent organization and learning.

Parents from across all Newton Public Schools, including Williams, are organizing within their own school communities to learn together about issues of race, racism, culture, and identity. If you are interested in learning more and becoming a part of the conversation, please contact Williams parents Omer Mendelson at [email protected] or Emily McMains at [email protected].

Newton Little League – 2018 Spring Season Registration

Hello Parents,

With dropping temperatures, snow still lingering, and the holidays firmly upon us, it may be hard to grasp that registration for Newton Little Leagues 2018 spring season is now open. Williams School has been well represented over the past few seasons with both talented players and equally talented coaches, so your child or children will most likely be playing with some of their friends. If you are interested in registering your child for any level, please go to http://newtonnorthll.org and click on registration.

Please feel free to call or text me at any time with questions at 617-877-5056 regarding registration or any other questions you may have about Newton Little League!

Thank you,
Eddie Thomas
