Save The Date! Williams PTO Teacher Appreciation Luncheon May 24th
As another school year comes to a close, we would like to recognize our teachers and aides for an outstanding year and thank them for all they do for our children. To show our appreciation to them, we will be honoring our Williams teachers at a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon on Tuesday, May 24th at 12:30 p.m.
We would greatly appreciate donations of food, refreshments, paper goods, and your time to help set up and/or clean up for the event. Look for a sign up sheet in the coming weeks.
Could your child benefit from a caring consistent relationship with an adult mentor? Project Mentor is now accepting applications for students in 4th-8th grade (also now accepting “rising 4th graders”) to participate in a mentoring program. Children will be able to meet with their mentor for 6 hours a month to build a strong, positive, pro social relationships. Matches will spend their time together building a relationship and doing things they both enjoy! Mentors are adults from the community that are screened and trained in topics such as relationship building, communication skills, and the dynamics of bullying. Project Mentor also provides opportunities for children with special needs to have a mentor. The relationship, from beginning to end, is supervised by a Mentoring Specialist, Haley Rosenbloom-Stein. She is always available to mentors, children, and their parents for any questions or concerns. Interested? Please call Haley at 617.559.9074 or 617.544.PAIR (7247) or email her at [email protected]
