To the Parents of Williams Elementary School students:
I plan to visit your school to hear from you regarding Dr. Midge Connolly’s performance as Principal on Thursday, May 6, 2010.  I will meet with you at Williams. I prefer to meet with people individually or in small groups for about ten minutes of confidential conversation.

As part of Midge’s formal written evaluation, I will focus on themes developed by the Educational Leadership Policy Standards set by the Council of Chief State School Officers, which include:

  1. Shared vision for the school supported by all stakeholders,
  2. School culture and instructional programs conducive to excellent, innovative student learning and staff professional growth,
  3. Management of the organization, operation, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment,
  4. Collaboration with the faculty and responsiveness to diversity and different community interests,
  5. Professional integrity,
  6. Communication skills and political savvy that positively influence the political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context so as to encourage respectful and responsible behavior among all members of the school community, and
  7. Professional growth including critical reflection upon her own practice.
I look forward to speaking with as many of you as possible.
Sincerely,
Dr. Patricia A. Kelly
