Friday News from Williams

Spring Online Auction: a smashing success!
Gail Sokoloff and Carol Bradford-Roe, our fearless fundraising team, did an amazing job running the new online auctions this year!  They solicited and collected donations, entered the items onto the website, and managed every aspect of the auction process, resulting in $15,000 for the Williams PTO. Please thank them for their hard work when you see them around school!
Thanks to all who generously donated sports tickets, vacation homes, homemade dinners, services and hand made goods, and to the more than 100 businesses that contributed merchandise, services, gift cards and tickets.

“Cabernet and Cabaret:” a rocking good time!
Lauri Hoeffler, Maura Butler, Robin Fryar and Gail Sokoloff planned a great party last Saturday night, raising more than $2,300 to support PTO activities and programs at Williams.  Hugh Gelch regaled us with his last official magic show as a Williams parent, and Michael Lorant, Sheila Doyle, Van Eswara, and Clara Lorant shared their enormous musical talents, performing a concert that had people dancing in the aisles!

Thanks to Deborah Gelch for helping to arrange for the space at Lasell, to Lauren Brooks and Carol Roe for making beautiful gift baskets for the raffle, and to Les Whitham and Tom Fryar for their bartending expertise.

Last chance to claim Lost and Found items:
Please come in and check the bins on Monday (outside the gym and in the 2nd floor main hallway); unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill next week.
Meeting Regarding Riverside Station Development:

There will be a meeting in the Williams auditorium on Wednesday, March 31, at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the potential Riverside Station development.

BH Normandy Group will present the plans for a one-million square foot office, retail, parking and residential development at Riverside Station.

Residents in Lower Falls, Auburndale and the Lasell neighborhood can raise concerns and questions as to how the proposed development will affect area traffic, Williams School enrollment, and property values.

For more information, please contact the Riverside Station Neighborhood Coalition ([email protected]).
