Community News: Newton News

The Williams School Harvest Festival will take place on Wednesday, November 25, at 10:00 a.m. in the gymnasium.  It will last about one hour.  The Harvest festival is a school tradition that celebrates the coming together of the school community, and seasonal themes of harvest, peace, helping the hungry, families coming together, etc.  Parents (and grandparents) are welcome!

Late menus:  When a late menu is submitted after the posted cut-off, your child will be offered either bagel or breakfast fun lunch.  To avoid this, the school encourages you to sign up for an on-line account.  Email [email protected] with your child’s name and school to sign up.

Beatrice Family:

As many of you know, Jeff Beatrice died unexpectedly last month.  He leaves behind his wife, Elinor, and seven children within the Newton Public Schools ranging from a kindergartener to a senior in high school. With Jeff’s passing, a huge void was left financially for the family.  Not surprisingly, the Newton community has rallied to support this family in a myriad of ways.   In an effort to streamline these efforts a group of concerned citizens has pledged to work together to find ways to support the Beatrice Family Fund.   Our hope is that our collective efforts will allow the family to remain together in their home.

To that end, we have developed a number of ways that the greater Newton community can help in our efforts.  Financial donations can be sent to:
