An evening session to meet and hear from Interim Superintendent, Dr. James Marini is scheduled on Wednesday, Oct 21st from 7:30-9pm at the Day Middle School Auditorium. Dr. Marini will speak about the state of the schools and his experience in Newton thus far, followed by a session allowing for questions and answers.

A Public Meeting for the Community Preservation Committee will be held on October 21st, 7pm, City Hall Cafeteria (basement). The agenda includes new CPC members, 2010 fiscal overview, funding priorities, and other ongoing projects.

The United Parish of Auburndale is hosting its third annual Pumpkin Patch, from October 4th through October 31st. Pumpkins large and small, gourds and baked goods will be for sale. The proceeds help the UPA support a number of programs in the New England area. Don’t miss this fun family outing! Pumpkin Patch hours are: M-F, 10am-6pm; Sat, 9am-5pm; and Sun, 11am-6pm.
