Wednesday, October 7th, International Walk to School Day
Please join the Williams Community for the first of a series of “Walk to School Wednesdays” that lead up to Thanksgiving. This program establishes the good habit of walking for fun and for health and gets kids and parents to know their neighbors better, all while helping the environment. It also will alleviate the traffic on the roads and at school drop off sites.
We still need volunteers to lead a Walking School Bus for October 7th and/or the remaining dates. The Walking School Bus consists of one or more parent volunteer(s) to walk to Williams on a specific route at a specified time picking up other walkers along the route. Look for more information next week about how your family can participate in Walk to School Day. There will be opportunities to walk at Williams as well, so all kids can participate! Riding buses also helps the environment!
