Summer Ball sign-up. This program, for 10-12 year olds, is being run by Newton East Little League, but
all are invited to take part. This league serves eligible boys and girls who were born on or between May 1,
1996 & April 30, 1999. All new applicants must reside in Newton OR attend the Newton Public Schools.
The season begins in early July and runs through the middle of August. Player evaluations take place
Saturday June 20th from 10-12 at Jay Gordon Field. (rain date Sunday June 21st, 3-5). Applications and

KIDS’ KARATE –Free Trial Class on Friday, September 18, 4:45-5:45, or Saturday, September 19,

Girls Summer Basketball camp/clinic hosted by Hank DeSantis will take place at Day Middle School from
July 6th-July 10th, 9-3pm. Current grades 3rd through 8th are welcome. T-shirts and trophies along with
games & fundamental skills training will make this a fun & educational clinic. The cost is $225.00 for the five

Garden City Soccer Camp: For Boys and Girls age 7-14 looking to take their game up a notch. Directed
by former Newton Varsity soccer coaches Brian Rooney and Ucal McKenzie and staffed with current and
former high school players and coaches. At Burr School . July 6-10 and 13-17, 9am-3pm each day.
Training sessions and games in the morning and afternoons, and each day, travel by bus to Newton North

Rhythmic gymnastics program, Rhythmic Dreams, is offering the 8th year of it’s summer program. Kids stay
active while learning rhythmic gymnastics and dance, recreational swimming, tennis, and other outdoor games.
50 kids maximum per session. Sessions: Circus theme June 29 – July 10; Around the World theme July 13 – July
